Dear Cranbury Neighbors,
The Cranbury Public Library has had another fabulous year increasing membership, programming, and seeing greater use of the Library’s community meeting space. Did you know there were 228 adult and 248 youth programs? We hope that you attended one of the many presentations and art classes, participated in the Summer Reading Program, or joined us for a yoga session.
Through financial support from the Cranbury Public Library Foundation, we are proud to have made a significant improvement to the fireplace, adding a new stone facade. Class offerings continue to grow and have included wide ranging topics such as history, health, and technology. We have held hands-on workshops to teach new skills like making scarves, jewelry, porch signs, and even pierogies. You can also check out museum passes, use the creative space, or join book clubs and discussion groups; the Library truly has something for everyone. We encourage you to take advantage of the diverse selection of resources available to expand your mind and make new friends.
None of this can happen without your support. The Foundation is the only not-for-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to funding programs, improvements, and unique events, so please join us on November 14th at 7PM for our fundraiser: Female Spies of WWII. Attendees will learn from an historical reenactor how women helped to win the war, and enjoy period-themed desserts while decoding messages, all for just $35 per person. This year we have relaunched our bookplate program which allows you to dedicate a book in honor of a loved one, special occasion, or milestone. Choose from available titles and bookplate designs online at https://cranburypubliclibrary.org/bookplates/.
Our goals are to increase awareness of the Library and its community meeting space, expand free programming, and provide the most complete services to Cranbury residents. We appreciate every contribution so that we can further enrich our community and make the Library the centerpiece of our town.
