The CPL Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that can accept charitable tax-exempt donations. Donations can be made in the form of cash, check, gifts of stock, or other financial assets. The method you use depends on your circumstances.  A quick rule of thumb is:
–  If you are giving $1 to $100 online donations are preferable.
–  If your donation is more that $100 it is better to give by check.

Tax deductible donations by check should be made payable to “Cranbury Public Library Foundation” and can be dropped off at the library or sent to:

Tax deductible donations by credit card may be made through PayPal using the Donate button to the left. Upon completion of your donation, you will be provided a printable confirmation and tax receipt.

Honor Someone – Make a financial gift to honor, or in memory of, someone special. Your gift will be acknowledged to the honoree or the family or friend of the individual being remembered.

Planned Giving and Gifts of Stock
You can also support the mission of the Cranbury Public Library Foundation by naming the Foundation in your will, establishing a charitable trust, or making another type of planned gift.

Tax laws recognize the value of financial support for organizations like the Cranbury Public Library Foundation that provide for the public good. Therefore, there are certain incentives for making charitable gifts. With guidance from your attorney or financial planner, you can consider the most beneficial way to deal with different types of assets.

We request that you contact your attorney and/or tax adviser should you want to make a bequest or other form of planned giving to the CPL Foundation. Information you would need to know up front:

• The legal entity that accepts gifts for the Library is the Cranbury Public Library Foundation, Inc.
• We are a non-profit classified 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service.
• Our tax identification number is 27-0792796.
• Our NJ Charitable Registration number is CH3269100

You may also make a donation to the Cranbury Public Library Foundation in the form of equity securities. Certain account information and transfer instructions are required to do so. Please contact Marilynn Mullen, Foundation Treasurer, for further details.
