2015 Fundraising Recap

Thank you to everyone who helped to make 2015 a great year for fundraising.  As you may recall, the Foundation sent out a letter in early November updating the community on our project.   Since then we have received 96 donations – 45 from new donors – for a total of more than $75,000!

Besides individual donations, the Foundation receives funds from businesses that support our ongoing fundraising efforts with programs of their own.  It’s your participation in these programs that makes them so successful.  Three of the programs are:

McCaffrey’s Receipts – The library collects your receipts from McCaffrey’s Market and turns them in to the store monthly for a 1% match.  In 2015 the Foundation received $1,363.37 in matching funds!  This in the second year we have participated.  The total given by McCaffrey’s is $2,309.86.  So keep those receipts coming – they do add up!

Amazon Smile – Did you know when you shop online at Amazon you can help raise money for the new library?  It’s easy!  Place your order at AmazonSmile  and choose to support the Cranbury Library Foundation.  The library receives 0.5% from most purchases.  So far we’ve earned $108.65.  Help us earn even more in 2016 by shopping AmazonSmile!

Bites For Books – Many of you have enjoyed a meal at Teddy’s Restaurant during one of our Bites for Books events.  Because of your participation and George’s support, Teddy’s has donated $1,183.00 to the campaign for a new library!  Watch for more events in 2016.  Our next one is scheduled for February 9!

The Library Board has worked with the architect to make our project shovel ready.   We hope to break ground in 2016 and with your support we will!
