Thank you to everyone who came out to the Cranbury Art auction on Friday and bid on one or more pierces of the beautiful artwork available. The Foundation raised over $12,000 for the new library!
Everyone who came enjoyed the evening. Several guest auctioneers regaled the crowd with stories of Cranbury, remembrances of Don Jo and other fond memories. Committeeman and guest auctioneer Glenn Johnson took his role very seriously indeed by dressing in white tie and tails. See Glenn and other photos of the evening’s festivities here.
Thanks go foremost to Virginia Swanagan who donated the majority of artwork as well as David Nissen and Janice Altieri. A big thank you also goes to Kathy Morolda of Cranbury Station Gallery. Kathy donated her time and expertise presiding over the evening and running the auction. We also want to thank our guest auctioneers: Roy Reinhardt, JoD Andrews, Lisa Beach, Dave Cook, Susan Goetz, Glenn Johnson, Andre Moutenot and Pat Demers.
All of this would not have been possible without the Library Foundation Capital Campaign Committee members. They have worked tirelessly to raise $2 million in funds for the new library. Now it’s up to you. Please donate and help us raise the last million this year. If you do, Cranbury will have a new library in 2016!
