Cranbury Art Auction

On Friday, September 18th the Library Foundation is excited to present a special Cranbury Art Auction to raise funds for the new community library.  We will be auctioning original artwork by long time Cranbury resident, Don Jo Swanagan.  The selection includes depictions of several Cranbury landmarks such as local churches, barns, the museum, the firehouse and the (now gone) Cranbury water tower.   Other paintings are of the Jersey Shore, many from Beach Haven.  These paintings come to us courtesy of Virginia Swanagan, widow of Don.  See the artwork.

Also being auctioned are several vibrant photographs of Cranbury taken by resident David Nissen and a beautiful jacket hand made by Janice Altieri.  To make sure no one goes home empty handed there will be several silent auction items as well.

The auction will be held  Friday, September 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the School’s Large Group Room.  The cost to attend is $10 per person and is limited to 80 attendees.  Tickets must be purchased in advance at the library or from Foundation Committee Members.  The evening will start with a preview of both live and silent items being auctioned.  This will be the time to visit with friends, enjoy light refreshments, and ultimately choose your favorite items to bid on.  The bidding will begin at 8:00.  Remember to bid early and bid often.  Help us build the new library!

Jail and Bail Fundraiser

On Cranbury Day, September 12, 2015 the following perpetrators will be booked and held in the Library Jail Cell on Main Street:

  • Barbara Adams, beloved Kindergarten Teacher
  • Matthew Curran, soft-spoken Cranbury Dad
  • Vincent Iannaci, owner of the Cranbury Bagel Barn

These culprits are wanted for supporting the new library and need to raise bail to break free! They are counting on their friends and neighbors to support the Cranbury Library Foundation in their names so they can get out of jail free!

Help build a new public library for Cranbury!
